River is a Behaviour Interventionist (BI) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with a strong background in Linguistics and Early Childhood Education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Linguistics from Simon Fraser University, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and has completed the Early Childhood Education Program at Capital College, where she developed a solid foundation in child development, behaviour guidance, and early learning principles.
River has more than a year of experience working as an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Assistant in a preschool setting, where she gained extensive hands-on experience supporting children’s learning, development, and daily routines. This role strengthened her ability to work closely with young children and support their social, emotional, and developmental growth in meaningful ways.
As a BI and SLPA, River is passionate about supporting children’s social communication, functional language, and emotional understanding. She believes each session should be a positive, engaging, and relaxed experience where meaningful learning happens through play.
River focuses on building strong, trusting relationships and creating engaging, child-centred opportunities that support natural growth and development. She enjoys helping children expand their play skills, develop communication, and confidently express their needs and feelings.
