Amy has been a practicing Pediatric Occupational Therapist since 2010. She has extensive experience working with children with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DC), Sensory Processing Disorder/challenges (SPD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, behavioural and mental health challenges, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, and genetic disorders.
Amy completed the following professional development courses.:
- USC (University of Southern California) Sensory Integration Continuing Education Certificate Program
- STAR Institute’s Level 1 Intensive Mentorship for Sensory Integration
- The SOS Approach to Feeding Training Conference and Advanced Courses (eg. Feeding the Child on the Spectrum)
- DIR Floortime 101, and other specific courses for handwriting / written output, self-regulation and executive functioning skills
- Training focusing on strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming occupational therapy practice.
