Shakila is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant and Behaviour Interventionist with a background in Cellular and Molecular Science, a diploma in Psychology, and certification in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). She has over three years of experience supporting children and adolescents with autism, ADHD, and diverse developmental needs in home, school, and community settings.
Shakila is particularly passionate about supporting speech, language, and communication development. She has extensive experience implementing evidence-based strategies such as visual supports, prompting techniques, and functional communication training, helping her clients make meaningful and measurable progress in expressive and receptive language, as well as social communication skills.
Known for her warm and engaging approach, Shakila builds strong connections with the children she works with, creating a supportive environment where they feel confident to learn and grow.
As a mother of a child on the autism spectrum, she brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her role. She is deeply committed to helping each child develop practical communication skills that enhance their everyday lives.
